Ghetto workouts

I feel like this video could relate to anyone like myself who live in the Johnson A dorms. I recently went to the weight room in the basement of Johnson A and the weight machines they had looked like they were made in the 60's. So I feel like a few of these workouts in the video would work better than some of the machines in Johnson's basement.

A day off finally!

I decided to take the day off completely today and I'm going to do my workouts tomorrow instead. Instead of working out today my roommate and I went and help out a buddy with a music video. This day off today has been a huge relief today because of all of the heavier lifting I have been doing lately.

Cardio

Today I decided to take a day off from the weights and decided to do cardio today. I started off with my usual daily warm up of pick up football at the turf then proceeded to run a mile after that. After my mile run I then went to the basketball courts to get in more of sprints in while playing a few pick up games. All in all my legs are dead tonight.

Feeling the burn

This week I have decided to try something different, instead of low weight high reps I have decided to do high weight low reps. This helps build muscle rather than help tone the muscles. I decided to do this since I wasn't really feeling the same bun as what I was doing before.

Rest day

After a full week of working out everyday I decided to give myself the day off. But starting back up tomorrow I plan on working out my chest and triceps. Over the past week I have improved on my eating habits and have also decided to now cut back on pop and hopefully cut it out all together in my attempt to get in better shape.

Weekend workouts

For Friday and Saturday I did a mixture of 200 pushups and situps through out the day. I would take 5 minutes out of whatever I was doing to drop down and do 25 pushups and 25 situps randomly throughout the day until I reached my goal of 200.

So I know I haven't been posting very much on here, hardly at all actually, but that is about to change. Starting from here on I will be posting everyday about the workout that I have planned for the day and will let you know how I feel the next day. But since the weekend is coming up I am going to try and just squeeze in around 100 pushups and situps a day. Also, I am now trying to eat a little bit healthier and adding some fruits and vegetables to my meals.

Week 3

It is now into the third week of my 30 days of working out, and I have slowly noticed improvements within myself. The first week of it all was rough trying to get myself started on everything, but once the second week came around it was pretty much a must that I workout everyday. I have been working out everyday Monday through Thursday. Now that it is week three I have wanted to try and start getting into the gym for at least a half hour a day everyday. My days no longer feel complete if I don't make it to the gym.
